cans,magneticballs,steelpipes,brasshardware,amusicalsawand
oddbitsoffurniture,alongwithlargestructureslikemineshaft
gates,steeltunnels,toweringstairwaysandmassivestructuralI-Beams.
Whileafewoftheinstrumentswererecordedinoneofourfavorite
largehallsorourrecordingbooths,manyofthesenaturallycaptured
soundswererecordedoutintherealworld,inalotofuncontrolled
andevennoisyoutdoororpublicenvironments.Buthey,whenyou’re
tryingtocapturesomethingstrangeornew,youcan’talwaysmicromanage
everythingaroundyou.Youmayhearthingslikestrayhumanvoices,bird
chirps,distantmachinery,roadnoise,blowingwindorotherrandom
soundshiddeninthebackgroundofsomesamples.Weconsiderthatsubtle
coloringasallpartofthecharacter,flavorandauthenticityunique
totheseinstruments.Wefeelit’sbettertohavevarietythantoaimfor
sterileperfection,inourhumblepointofview.

Forthenewversion2.0,we’verefinedkeymappingandzoneplacement,
velocitylayering,randomization,tuningandmore.We’vealso
incorporatedafullrangeofusercontrolstoallowtotalsonicshaping.
